In order to study and inculcate Buddhist ethics and values contained in Ancient Sinhala Classic literature and Jataka stories, the Colombo YMBA has been conducting annual competition for the above events. The competition was commenced in 1998 confined to Colombo District was further expended to whole island in the year 2000.
These competitions are open to students of Dhamma Schools and Government and Private Schools island wide and this competitions will be held under various categories according to the students Age groups and Grades they are studying.
Applications are invited at the beginning of each year and competition will be held in mid of the year.
Each Contestant who excelled in the competition will be awarded certificates and prizes at the Prize giving ceremony to be held at YMBA main Hall, Borella.
