Our Vision

Bridging Tradition & Technology

Launched on 01st November 2021, this pioneering project utilizes modern technology to provide English Education to young Bhikkus studying in Pirivenas.

In line with the Association’s core objective of the 'Propagation of Buddhism', this initiative equips the Sangha with the ability to conduct 'Dhamma Deshana' in English, both locally and overseas. Furthermore, it opens doors for their higher education and enhances their knowledge across various fields.

Phase 01

The Launch

Nov 2021

Targeted Bhikkus in Grade 5 (Equivalent to GCE O/L).
Covered Western & Uva provinces.
Conducted by 4 professional teachers from Aquinas College of Higher Studies.
Benefited approx. 700 student Bhikkus from 229 Pirivenas.

Phase 02

National Expansion

March 2022

Expanded to Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Included both Bhikkus and Bhikkunis.
Island-wide coverage: All 9 Provinces.
Connecting 800+ Pirivenas via Zoom technology.
