The Pilot Project

Transforming Education in Remote Areas

Launched in 2014, this project targeted Sampathnuwara National School, located 166km from Anuradhapura. Over three years, the Association provided infrastructure resources, educational aids, and facilitated extra classes for students in Grades 9, 10, and 11.

Impact Achieved

Consistent increase in G.C.E. O/L pass rates (2015–2017).
Special focus on Maths, Science, and English.
Cash scholarships awarded to top achievers annually.

*Notably, one high-achieving student was awarded a full scholarship to pursue higher studies at Musaeus College by the President of the Governors.

Our Intervention Model

Infrastructure

Providing desks, chairs, whiteboards, and upgrading classroom facilities to create a conducive learning environment.

Extra Classes

Funding additional tuition for core subjects (Maths, Science, English) for critical grades 9, 10, and 11.

Scholarships

Rewarding the best performing students with financial aid and opportunities at prestigious city colleges.
