Our Mission

Standardizing Buddhist Education

Since its inception in 1920 by Sir D.B. Jayatilaka, the YMBA Examinations Branch has been the cornerstone of Buddhist education in Sri Lanka. Our goal is to provide a structured path for students to learn the Dhamma, ensuring that the teachings of the Buddha are preserved and understood by future generations.

What began with 374 candidates has now grown into an international operation, offering certificates that are recognized for their academic rigor and doctrinal accuracy.
