Under the "Athata Athak" project, initiated by the Colombo Young Men's Buddhist Association to support those affected by the Ditwa cyclone, school books for the students of the Matale Ukuwela Sasanarakshaka Board were ceremonially handed over to the Chief Secretary of the All Island Sasanarakshaka mandala, Ven. Mugunuwela Anuruddha Nayaka Thero, and the Chief Secretary of the Matale Ukuwela Sasanarakshaka Board, Ven. Kalundawe Chandrasiri Nayaka Thero.
කොළඹ තරුණ බෞද්ධ සංගමය මඟින් දිට්වා සුළි කුණාටුවෙන් විපතට පත් අපේම ආදරණීය මිනිසුන් වෙනුවෙන් ආරම්භ කරන ලද "අතට අතක්" ව්‍යාපෘතිය යටතේ මාතලේ උකුවෙල ශාසනාරක්ෂක මණ්ඩලයට අයත් පාසල් දූ දරුවන් වෙනුවෙන් පොත් පත් සමස්ත ලංකා ශාසනාරක්ෂක මණ්ඩලයේ ගරු ප්‍රධාන ලේඛකාධිකාරී පූජ්‍ය මුගුණුවෙල අනුරුද්ධ නායක ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේට සහ මාතලේ උකුවෙල ශාසනාරක්ෂක මණ්ඩලයේ ගරු ප්‍රධාන ලේඛකාධිකාරී පූජ්‍ය කළුන්දෑවේ චන්ද්‍රසිරි නායක ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේට පරිත්‍යාග කරන ලදි.
