Program Overview

The Colombo YMBA awards monthly scholarships to a large number of talented students from low-income families. Beneficiaries are undergraduates attached to various faculties in state universities including Sabaragamuwa, Peradeniya, Ruhuna, Rajarata, Wayamba, Uva-Wellassa, Eastern, Moratuwa, Jaffna, Ampara, Colombo, Kelaniya, and Sri Jayawardenapura.

Students following courses in Medicine, Engineering, Management, Dentistry, Architecture, Arts, Science, and Agriculture are selected through a rigorous process involving faculty recommendations and individual interviews. Successful recipients receive funding for the entire duration of their university studies.

We welcome donors to undertake sponsorships for deserving students. Donors can even request to support students from a specific university or faculty.

LKR 500,000

Enables a permanent monthly scholarship via interest income.

Annual Sponsorship

Per Student / Year

LKR 24,000

Directly supports an undergraduate for one academic year.

Sponsors are invited to the annual awards ceremony and recognized in the official souvenir alongside their beneficiary.
